Adrian Carter is a Sheffield based electronic musician/producer, up until recently primarily worked alone but in recent times he has worked with US slam poet Daphne Gottlieb, then for his 1000 Rubies project Anne Garner, Kate Vale and Pixieguts. This led to bits and pieces of remixing for Anne (Sheffield/London) and Titee & Pixieguts (Australia) and Christine Baze (US), Radio Scotvoid (US) and most recently a little stompy dance track with Penny Broadhurst (Leeds),

The first release of 2007 from EMP is some delicious earcandy from Adrian Carter in the form of an ep called Gangs - 4 tracks of lush but lively ambient techno... loads of lovely synths and weird baselines. Bit of a fan of Mr Carter's releases on EMP - Magnetic and Switchkicker - and gangs is a worthy addition to his body of work... and to the EMP catalogue.
