Open Circuit

Open Circuit is the live arm of Earth Monkey Productions

it was set up to promote live experimentation & collaboration between artists and to celebrate experimental, electronic and improvised music and sound art in performance.

We are currently working out our next move locally after great gigs at Forum Twenty Eight, The Nest & The Canteen and have just completed a very successful first trip internationally - taking Good Noise Bad Noise to the US to tour with Duet For Theremin and Lap Steel - you can find out more about this trip here..

We have put internationally renowned artists on all over Cumbria - including village halls, schools and concert halls as well as taking Cumbrian artists around the UK

Some highlights of Open Circuit have been visits from theremin legend Pamelia Kurstin, Halal Kebab Hut playing and leading a workshop at Barrow Island Primary School, an Earth Monkey night at The Octopus Diamond in Edinburgh, Fonik playing a live soundtrack to the film classic Nosferatu at Forum Twenty Eight and the legendary Muted Cell gig at The Nest.
