20/04/09 - Earth Monkey special on Phantom Circuit radio show
Phantom Circuit visits Earth Monkey Productions, a prolific and highly regarded net-label based in Cumbria.
“Capt. Earth Monkey” himself, Shaun Blezard, talks about his solo project Clutter and other work, and, with additional contribution from Janice Benson, about some of EMP’s educational and community projects.
The music is mostly taken from a handful of the experimental, ambient or just plain unusual releases on Earth Monkey, along with a few illustrative interlopers to spice the pot
Phantom Circuit features music that is alien, electronic, exotic or neglected... along with some familiar objects viewed from unusual angles... All of it is worth a try, so we hope you will listen in.

The Gulu’s weekly event Friday Night Spins has taken on a life of its own. This Friday’s featured performer is Salem’s own Radio Scotvoid. I must say that his performances over the past several months have been nothing less than extraordinary. His work transcends the electronica genre and depending who shows up to perform with Scott dictates where the music is going to go. Jazz, Blues, Trip-Hop, Rock... you never know quite what you are going to end up hearing but it always ends up being interesting and very very very cool.
Radio Scotvoid performs at the Gulu-Gulu in Salem on the 1st Friday of every month. Don't miss it!
