A friend once said.

"...I sometimes think that music has gone as far as it can go and it's all now just re-treads of the same old crap. Where in the past you can see influences from the past, now it just seems there are no influences just imitators..."

I tend to disagree.

1987-1992 were the years that I listened to music the most. From Soft Machine, The Orb to The Black Dog. I always had something to put on the record player before I went to sleep.

This EP goes out to the City of Salem, MA for giving me the space to explore my musical boundaries.

Garbage In Garbage Out @ The Internet Archive :: Garbage In Garbage Out @ Last.fm

My inspiration for the GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out) RSVP trax comes from mini-disc recordings on trips to Spain, Scotland and New York. If you've listened to my tracks, you can tell they have been processed real hard, and that IS the sound i'm going for...I want them to sound as RAW as a 1-take home recording as possible...

Reviews

'This is an amazing studio album, high on surprises and originality. Some of the diverse cultural resonances that come to mind hearing these sounds are sergio leone, william burroughs, happy hardcore, eminem, dada, japanese toy instruments and an obscure favorite of mine, Fugdale. Unique mash up of all these things and more, very rewarding...' - Review of Fragment (Consider Revising) on The Internet Archive

'The best thing about netlabels is that netlabel artists are totally (at least theoretically) free from the constraints of the music industry and they can do all kinds of off kilter experimentations. Heres one of em from one of our netlabel faves Radio Scotvoid. His latest EP on Earth Monkey, Fae Ecosse sees the Scottie make a few genreless wanderings from electronica to 4/4 beats. From the sax lead Cmon Lets Go! (Bitzblitz Mix) to the minimal headbopper Im a Groover, Not A Raver this 5 track EP is pretty strange from start to finish. Best track for me is the dubby stylings of Theyre A Happy (Chai Tea Mix), with a long speech with Scottish accent. This would make a great dubstep remix!'. - Review of Fae Ecosse on The Internet Archive by www.undomondo.com

‘the ep is your best work to date, no doubt... my bro and I were commenting on it's very unique taste. I've not heard anything quite like your ep's particular brand of fusion.  I'm always searching for the optimal balance of sequenced elements & live instrumentation... as it seems arranging an ensemble is a lost art! ...it's always refreshing to me, traditional instruments amidst electronic beats and blips. your ep is classic in this way, going forward as well as backwards in time.’ - Review for Fae Ecosse at urband.net

“Capture one-off moments in time.” That’s the mission of Radio Scot Void, according to the blurb. And it doesn’t take long to see how the Bostonian soloist’s remit extends beyond the conventional arena of writing a few tunes about having an argument with your girlfriend. Through effects, distortion, moodscapes and general weirdness, the six tracks on ‘Garbage In Garbage Out’, are as dizzying and seductive as riding a sofa over Niagara Falls. - “Jessie Leaves Autumn” is, on the face of it, a nice bit of singer/songwriter noodling. But the vinyl fuzz, echoey off-centre sound and gloomy crooning pitch it up somewhere between Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly and Harry Connick Jr. If that track is a disturbed night’s sleep, then the following “Sorry Jeff” amounts to the moment when you wake up with a start covered in sweat. Hip hop beats crash in against a frenzy of bloops and electric piano. Similarly, “Glide Away” comes on with a snowstorm of synths, keys and effects of varying degrees of ferocity, while Brutini goes a bit Brian Eno with a symphony of sonar beeps. - Extra track, “Our Options” offers a gentle welcoming ambience by comparison, as keys and guitar start off somewhere jazzy before heading into some monster chords. Nothing here, though, is as odd, scary and downright disturbed as “A Spotlight On Noah’s Arc.” With only background music and a few rain effects, this is a spoken story of one man’s voluntary isolation. As he spends day after day alone in his apartment the cabin fever grows, the mice move in and the furniture gets nailed to the ceiling – “it was great”, he says. And it is great. Like a good David Fincher movie, Radio Scot Void takes thoughts from under the carpet of life and makes you sit up and listen’ - Review of Garbage In Garbage Out in overplay.co.uk

‘Another impressive respondee from Myspace. Maybe a bit different to the tracks I normally review but theres no ignoring a good tune and a quality production. In the most respectful way possible, my initial thoughts were “this is an unusual track”...but it is. Unusual in an Aphex Twin way perhaps. Very experimental but such a wonderfully nice, melodic track. Sounds like some sounds are in reverse and the beat comes in almost on the back of an echo. The thing I like about this track is the way the beat (kinda 4/4) is brought in, almost whenever, then faded out again in the same way. I first put this track on in the car and sat completely silent, taking it in, over and over again – even driving by my street and taking a short de-tour in order not to have to cut it off before it stopped. Not a bad track from a lad originally from Falkirk called Scott D Buchanan who now resides in Boston, Massachusetts.’ - Review of Glide Away in EQ Magazine: 8/10

‘Escaping Velocity - .... well... it's all in there. made me smile at least, and that ain't easy’ - Still

‘Experimental music for smart people. You deserve a high ranking in the world of music’ - Hexagon Heaven
